Child Safety Forward Sacramento
As a demonstration site for the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Office for Victims of Crime, Child Safety Forward Sacramento developed multidisciplinary strategies and responses to address fatalities or near-death injuries as a result of child abuse or neglect. In July 2023 Child Safety Forward Sacramento became one of 37 California communities funded to implement a novel approach to enhancing community health through the California Accountable Communities for Health Initiative (CACHI).

Sacramento County Prevention Cabinet
Child Safety Forward Sacramento is led by the Sacramento County Prevention Cabinet.
Originally formed on January 31, 2019, the Sacramento County Prevention Cabinet consists of public & private family serving agencies and organizations. Members hold positions of executive leadership and have decision-making power within their agency/organization. Prevention Cabinet Members also include Community Representatives, who are made up of local parents and caregivers.
