Preventing Abuse Through Home Visitation
PATH AmeriCorps
The PATH program provides AmeriCorps members training to facilitate parenting education with families at risk for child abuse and neglect. This is accomplished utilizing evidenced based home visitation programs such as Parents as Teachers and the Nurturing Parenting Program. AmeriCorps members teach parents how to support their child's development. Parents and AmeriCorps members meet weekly in the home to discuss parenting lessons, age appropriate development, and parent- child activities. PATH is available in Mendocino, Tehama, Alameda, Calaveras, Monterey, San Bernardino, and Orange Counties.
